Another great weather week. We started off with scattered clouds and breeze, for the second half of the week conditions were calm and sunny. Lots of permit chances had in both bays, Joel S. caught his first permit as well as Dan M, they each downed tequila cured scorpions to celebrate. Veteran angler ‘Rooster’ of Stonefly Inn in Twin Bridges managed two for his first week. Lots of firsts out of Casa Blanca as well, Skip and Rita S. caught their first bonefish and tarpon, Everett T his first snook, Bruce S. his first barracuda on the fly. Bonefish have been plentiful and we are averaging larger fish, in the 4 to 6 pound range. Santa Rosa lagoon is starting to get back on track as the salinity gets back into the system.
