This was a week with a great mix of guests, old hands and novices alike. Ideal weather, sunny and low to medium wind strengths. Five permit brought to hand this week, lots of shots at both lodges. We had lots of firsts this week. Bill B got his first permit on the fly. Father and son team Doug and Clayton S. had an amazing time, 12 year old Clayton caught his first of many bonefish on the fly, a permit off the dock on spin tackle as well as a Jack or two. Doug and Peter H each got their first tarpon, Drew and Amy from Montana, new to salt, got firsts on all target species except permit. The bones were plentiful and user friendly as usual, and the tarpon, snook and cuda fishing was excellent this week.
