Thanksgiving week at the lodges is traditionally a fairly quiet one, but this year we had a nice mix of people to celebrate with, both from the US and abroad. The chefs had fun and did an outstanding job collaborating on the night’s menu and there was much to be thankful for. As for the fishing, we experienced far less rain and more sun than the previous week, but the wind was exceptionally fierce, sustained and cranking out of the East-Northeast between 20-30MPH for most of the week. Despite the wind, the permit were out and on the feed, with pretty much everyone who sought them coming up large, including a first for Dr. Gordon M and an awesome double for Ken and Patti F (pictured below) who were with us celebrating their 37th wedding anniversary….the stars aligned beautifully for these two.
