Casa and Playa Blanca Lodges Fishing Report Feb. 25- March 04, 2017

This week delivered us winds of 12-25mph out of the SE/E, scattered clouds and sun. Bone-fishing in the sheltered lagoons proved the hottest ticket this week, but there were rewards for those braving the wind as well. Snook fishing remains strong in the bays, tarpon generally less so, though on day one Jeff R got a 70 pound tarpon in the bay with guide Pato. For those hunting permit, there were plenty of fish seen and presented to and some nicer ones brought to hand, but it ended up being a below average week in terms of eats despite skilled angler presentations, it was just one of those weeks.
