A varied weather week with all conditions represented. Of the six days, two days were very nice with light wind and sunshine, three days were cloudy with spotty showers and winds over 15mph out of the North, and one day was drenching and dark. Lower temps overall throughout the week. Despite the challenges, all species including permit were caught out of both bays, with a total of 11 permit of varying sizes from ‘Grandote’ on down for the week, several of them firsts. At Casa the evening fishing off the dock was a nightly affair for jacks, permit and tarpon, while at Playa the night fishing off the beach was not to be missed, for rays, sharks, jacks and more. Santa Rosa offered good refuge from the wind and tarpon lagoon fished well on the day it was drawn. A few of the week’s highlights below…
