The first week of March launched the second week with the Trouthunter gang down at Playa Blanca and E Bay continued to not disappoint. The winds laid down for the second week in a row and Mary, Farnum, Dave, Steve and Scott all tallied their first Permit in Ebay. Millie Panni started off the party with a nice 18lb Permit the first day fishing with Jorge and the rest of the crew picked off a few schoolies. Millie and her good friend Mary took to the Tarpon Lagoon during mid week and managed to pick off 2 Snook as well. The week continued to produce good fishing with Steve sticking a large Permit that was following a Ray and Greg added the largest black Tail devil that he has landed to date.
Up at Casa our good friend Joe Dudra was in town and he was looking to take advantage of the good weather that rolled in. Along with Joe was returning clients Tom and Anne from Alaska, Joe and Jackie from NYC and Max. The advantageous weather allowed for some great early morning Tarpon action. Tom managed to put 12 Tarpon in the air during one of these mornings and Max and Joe jumped in on the action as well. Permit Joe Dudra also took advantage of the sunshine and added number 192 to his Permit total. Jackie and Joe headed into Santa Rosa to do some damage on the bigger bonefish and ended the wee boasting about very large fish. It was great to see all of our old friends again and we all enjoyed a week with light winds and big fish!
