Casa and Playa Blanca Lodges Fishing Report May 9-16

7:52 am , May 18, 2015 2

Some stronger than average winds out of the southeast most of this week kept anglers on their toes, but fun and success still found in plenty. Permit tally, 17, with fish of all sizes. Most permit are still schooled up, with some boats finding the schools and others not so lucky. Snook and tarpon fishing was good this week as well, though the wind direction and strength limited some of the fishing areas, especially in E Bay. A very impressively broad barracuda caught this week by Kyle H below, with guide Jorge.

Hi Tom! Yes, we got our butts kicked, there was some grumbling about a height advantage….They’re ready for a rematch! I’ll get Abraham to send me the photos and I’ll put them up.
