ThanksGiving week opened with a bit of a bluster, challenging visibility and winds still hard out of the North East, but mellowed progressively with a wind shift out of the South East towards the end of the week, and not much precipitation to speak of. Permit fishing was tough this week, with many of the usual spots light on shots. Even so, we managed to boat several good fish, and the lady anglers in the group made a great showing, Patti F pulling in a good one on the toughest weather day with guide Alejandro, and Whitney M showing us all how it’s done with multiple fish for the week with guide Jorge. Fishing for other species was fair this week and helped take the pressure off the slow permit days. Overall, much to be grateful for.
