A lovely weather week overall, with medium strength winds trending out of the South East, good visibility and sun, and fun-loving, hard-fishing anglers at both lodges. Permit still seemed to be relatively scarce for most of this week, with shots made and fish caught but less than we are accustomed to generally; on Friday they showed up again in droves on the flats, and our average happily climbed. Other species were present and accounted for as well, snook and above average bonefish in particular. Fishing off the dock at Casa Blanca was a nightly affair that resulted in tarpon, jacks, great adventures in fish landing attempts, and even an impromptu night-time swim with fly rod in hand.
