Casa and Playa Blanca Lodges Fishing Report Oct. 03-10 2015

Weather this week was typical for the area and time of year, with winds varying from medium to stout (7-15 mph) out of the Southwest, scattered clouds and showers throughout the week. Fish were still around in usual numbers, but the migratory tarpon blitz ended after the first few days and we were back to resident fish. It was incredible while it lasted.  Permit fishing stayed strong with most guests succeeding in their quests. The largest fish we have personally seen caught over the last five years was brought to hand during this week, estimates give this fish around 45 pounds, the fish of a lifetime for angler Tom G and guide Andres de la Cruz ‘Cucho’.
