The second week of October ushered in family week for the Duty’s from Steamboat, Colorado. On the plane went the Locos and off the plane emerged Johnny, Braden, Avery, Leila and Cherie. The kids and the wives joined Grandpa and the Dads and looked to evade tropical storm Michael and enjoy their annual outing on Punta Pajaros. Good friend Eric also joined in.

The first two days of the week proved to be tough conditions with Michael literally forming in our front yard but the storm did us a favor and continued to move North while offshore only to spread havoc and destruction in the Gulf Coast. All things considered we were lucky but received some wind and rain. By Tuesday the conditions began to improve and Eric started things off with a nice Permit. The fish turned out to be the highlight of the day as everybody struggled to find fish after the storm. Wednesday was the by far the highlight of the week where as young Johnny fishing with Alan boated a double Grand Slam for the two anglers. Dad John also managed a Permit release as well. The week wandered on and the gang enjoyed some more good fishing   (Avery stuck 2 poons) and relaxing on the beach as well as Kayaking and Snorkeling. The conditions after the storm, late in the week, made for a beautiful beach scene to chill out to and enjoy the island. It is always a pleasure to see the Duty family and the staff can´t wait for their return next year!
