Mild to medium wind strengths out of the South East and good visibility for the duration of this week. It’s starting to get hot, with temps consistently into the 90’s. More permit around this week but still not the usual numbers, some large singles starting to show up. Suzanne O caught a particularly beautiful specimen with guide David, pictured below. Half moon waning to new moon this week, still some fish potentially coming off the spawn. 9 permit total for the week, including 3 firsts. Brendan and Leslie R both caught permit same day while celebrating their 10 year wedding anniversary. Incredibly low tides again this week made for lots of tails on the bonefish flats. Extreme low water made Santa Rosa inaccessible for the first time in memory, but tarpon fishing was good elsewhere, as was snook fishing. Water levels were back on the rise towards the end of the week.
