One of our favorite weeks, the annual Couple’s trip hosted by Jackson Streit out of Mountain Angler from Breckenridge Colorado. Some stout winds out the Northeast to start this week, which combined with grey skies to make permit fishing extra challenging, though that didn’t stop angler Terry E. from catching a solid fish on her first day out with guide David. Towards the end of the week the winds calmed significantly and the water warmed up, lots of shots were had by those who went looking. Total permit tally for the week, 5. Plenty of bonefish to fall back on, and the snook fishing was exceptional, some great days hunting tarpon in the backcountry as well.
