Opening week of the season with the annual ‘Gringos Locos’ trip to Playa Blanca out of Bucking Rainbow Outfitters in Steamboat Springs, as always an excellent group of anglers who fish hard and have more fun than should be legal. As is usual this time of year, there were some dark skies and moisture but consistent fishing. Snook and tarpon fishing was exceptionally good. 5 grand slams and one super slam this week.
