At Playa this week we had a group of 12 who have been coming for years. The first two days were tough conditions but settled out nicely for the rest of the week. Dave and Doug ended up landing 3 nice permit a piece throughout the week. Dr. Miller had a nice 18lb permit mid week and Bill finished off Friday with two permit. The ladies Sally and Jan both managed to get a permit on the final day. We are excited that the weather has started to turn and we are looking forward to some great weeks ahead!
This week at casa Blanca brought some much needed relief from the ever-changing winds we have had this early spring season. We saw strong winds from the East on Sunday and Monday but the wind finally settled into a SE pattern at a mild 12 mph daily. With this return to normality, permit shots were had though the week, even though we weren’t able to seal the deal on any permit. Lots of bonefish were caught and we’ve had some encounters with some really big tarpon the past few days. Nightly bocci ball and margaritas were the normal this week and we overall had a very fun crew at Casa.
