Late march has brought more consistent weather and we enjoyed four days of great conditions for fishing this week. With winds around 10mph anglers at Casa and Playa both had great opportunities for permit, tarpon, snook and bonefish.
At Casa Blanca we had three anglers check permit off their list for the first time. Congratulations to Arleagh, Nathan and Paul! With less wind and good sun we had great bonefishing and even saw a few bigger tarpon cruising on the ocean side in Ascension Bay.
Similarly at Playa Blanca, permit fishing was solid. Several anglers landed permit, including firsts for Brent and Harry. Bonefish were abundant all week. In addition to landing a couple of nice permit, Giacomo from Milan Italy, was able to land a beauty of a tarpon in the bay. He estimated it to be over 80lbs!
