Conditions in Ascension and Espirtu Santo Bays were challenging at times last week. Wind persisted at roughly 20mph out of the east. Visibility remained good but permit were more difficult to find than usual.

Casa and Playa were again full this week and we had a great time with both crews! At Casa two anglers found their first permit ever, Nigel from the UK and Sheldon from San Francisco. Most of the week was spent chasing tarpon for Roberto from Argentina. He managed to land 4 of 5 tarpon in the depths of Santa Rosa on Wednesday. The bone fishing for Jane and Ronan was very good and they managed a few in the 3-5 pound range.

A group hosted by Jackson Street of Mountain Angler in Breckenridge, CO returned to Playa Blanca last week. In spite of strong winds Evan, Chip, Jackson and Andy were able to land permit. First time saltwater angler Tom was able to land his first tarpon. Anglers focusing on bonefish had plenty of opportunities.
