The weather was amazing this week. North East wind around 8-12mph with very little clouds. Our crew from WorldCast Anglers made the most of it and caught some nice fish.
Bill and Liane from Montana landed 2 permit on the week and lots of bonefish. Alex had a great first day landing 3 permit. Rip found two permit on day three and Brian landed a great 20lb permit mid week. Eric and Jeff both landed their first permit ever this week. It really doesn’t get better than that conditions wise. Hoping that trend continues.
This week welcomed back long-time Punta Pajaros’ guests Jay and Jim. Jay and Jim had the lodge to themselves for the week and took advantage of this nightly down at the dock. Jay and Jim targeted all species this week with shots at everything.
They landed a mixed bag of permit, snook, jacks, and bonefish during the day and spent the evenings after dinner at the dock casting at a school of picky permit that would come through around 8 or 9 o’clock each night. What a great week in Ascension Bay! Conditions are looking pretty good, albeit more wind and clouds than las week, for our last week of fishing at Casa Blanca before we close down for Christmas. One re-occurring theme we have been noticing on the island are nice bonefish! It seems like there a few 4 or 5-pounders caught each week in Acension Bay and Santa Rosa, which are very nice fish for down here. Happy Holidays to all!
