The weather conditions were great this week with a slight wind out of the North / North-East around 3-10 mph. We had two groups at Playa with three couples from Texas and a group of four from the southeast. The week started off with Wells Campbell finding Grand Slams two days in a row. George Ehlers was able to get on the board day one with his first permit. Both Wells and George enjoyed a nice scorpion after dinner as lodge tradition goes. Walker found his first tarpon as well. The ladies had a great time, Libby and Wendy both caught tarpon and bonefish throughout the week. Wendy sealed the deal on her last day and landed her first permit! Overall the calm winds and sufficient sun gave angles ample chances to find all species this week. We are now braving Tropical Storm Zeta which should pass by Wednesday morning.
