At Casa Blanca, the fishing week was very interesting especially when we have new groups and clients that come to fish for the first time in salt water. The weather was favorable with southeast wind and good sun for most of the week. The clients began fishing for bonefish to get some practice. After catching their fill of bonefish, anglers looked for tarpon and snook. The guests thoroughly enjoyed the tarpon and snook fishing and focused on that for much of the week. A few brave soles focused on permit and one angler was able to land his first!
At Playa Blanca, we welcomed a group of anglers hosted by long-time clients, Bob and Charlotte Campbell. It was great to have some familiar faces back at Playa. Despite strong winds, the group caught plenty of bonefish. Anglers found respite from the wind in Santa Rosa and reported large bonefish tailing in shallow water. Joe Patterson focused solely on Permit and was able to land a couple for the week.
